Painting in the Vineyard FAQs
What should I wear? Will the paint stain my clothes?
We provide aprons, but we recommend wearing clothes you wouldn’t mind getting a little colorful. The acrylic paint is water-soluble and non-toxic but occasionally will stain certain materials.
Does my ticket include wine?
Most events do include wine—there are a couple exceptions and those are listed on the reservation page.
What are we painting?
Well, first of all, you are free to paint whatever you’d like…BUT, the instructor will be teaching from the actual scenery at the given location (i.e. vineyard, mountain-scape, lake etc) and will provide step-by-step instruction.
Is there an age limit?
The majority of our events are held at wineries and since they include wine, lend themselves to an 21+ audience, however younger guests are welcome (they just won’t be served wine).
What is the cancellation policy for a public Painting in the Vineyard event?
We understand that life happens and do our best to accommodate the unexpected, if you call or email 48 hours before an event we can give you a credit toward another event.
What about the weather?
Part of outdoor painting is understanding that whatever the given day serves up in the form of weather…we deal with. The majority of the time, the central coast provides beautiful weather, however, on occasion we are surprised by more challenging conditions. When that happens, we do our best to accommodate and make adjustments for our guests comfort.
Can Painting in the Vineyard events be cancelled?
We do everything we can to make sure the event will go on, but in the case of in-climate weather, that we cannot control, and no way to host the event indoors, we will cancel the event & refund attendees. In the case of low attendance (under 5 people registered for an event), the event may be cancelled as well.
