6-Week Intermediate Acrylic Painting Course

Follow-Up class to our 4 & 6-Week Beginner Acrylic Painting Class. Only available to returning students who have completed a 4 or 6-week beginner course.

This class will jump off from the basics and start to dig into technique, practices, style and composition. The first class we’ll start with a limited palette in a complementary study where we’ll paint from life. Then we’ll imagine colors working from a black & white photo. For the remainder of the class, you can choose to work from either a photo or painting…or continue working on something you’ve already started.

Here’s a break-down of the series:

Week One: Complementary Color Study
Week Two: Imagined Color working from a black & white image
Week Three–Week Six: Work on Painting of Choice

Limited to 8 students.

Class runs each Tuesday from March 5 till April 9, 6-8:30pm

I would recommend upgrading your paint to professional heavy body colors as you start to run out of Basics/Student grade paint if you haven’t already.

You’ll also need a few more canvases. We have supplies & canvas here to purchase, so you can pick up what you need the first night if you like. You’ll need 2 small canvases/panels etc (1-8×10, 1-5×7 ) and then whatever size canvas you want for the images you’re choosing.
