There are only 8 DAYS left of school! We were shook this morning, too, when we found out. So we are sending out a reminder to sign your child up today to join us for our creative & fun Summer Art Camps! There are 6 weeks to choose from, all listed with short descriptions below. Camps are from 10am-2pm each day. A typical camp day begins with an art project followed by lunch and then further work on our art project or a guided painting in the afternoon. Each Friday of Summer Camp closes with a very special Art Show where we invite guests to enjoy art created by that weeks’ participants. Space is limited and camps do sell out, so be sure to secure your child’s spot today and let the excitement begin.
Geared toward children ages 7-12, we provide space and guidance for kids to freely create, learn different skills in various mediums and build self-confidence.
A week of exploring and creating art using various forms of mixed media! Participants will learn how to take the ordinary and repurpose it with other materials to produce an assortment of artistic pieces.
Spend four days with the Art Spot learning 4 ways (but really probably more) to create art with paint! There are so many types of art making with so many ways to use paint and we are going to have fun with exploring just a few of our favorites. Participants will learn the joys of spin art, marbled art, scraping and blowing!
Join the Art Spot for a week of fun discovering a few ways to create sculptures! We’ll learn all about 3-dimensional art and then apply that knowledge while constructing our very own sculptures. We’ll learn how to take various materials and make something completely new!
From basic stamp making to more detailed relief prints, this
week we will create art with printmaking! Learning how to best apply pattern, layer color and most importantly use new techniques, like Gyotaky the traditional Japanese method of printing fish!
The art of the diorama is something special to childhood. This week of art camp we will each fabricate our own 3-dimensional scenes from a world deep within your child’s imagination.
One of our favorite camps returns to close out the 2023 Summer Art Camp series. Join us as we create our own fiesta magic! We’ll be making our own cascarónes, flamenco dancer ornaments and a crowd favorite… piñatas!
