6-Week Beginner Acrylic Painting Course

Interested in learning to paint but can only draw stick figures? With Art Spot you’re in luck!

Join us at our Solvang studio for this six-week painting with acrylics series for beginner to intermediate painters. This class will equip you with basic techniques and fundamentals of composition, perspective and color theory. We provide the lessons, inspiring studio space, and encouragement; you provide your art supplies (list below), willingness, and favorite bottle of wine (or beverage of your choice)

You choose your subject matter and will create your painting with focused instruction and guidance from our trained artist.

Paint What You Please:

Week One: Composition & Color Theory
Week Two: Value Painting
Week Three: Underpainting
Week Four: Underpainting
Week Five: Actual Color Study
Week Six: Actual Color Study

Classes are 2.5 hours long and begin Wednesday evening, March 6 and end on April 10 (6-8:30pm).

Students are responsible to purchase needed supplies–you can find Blick & Amazon links to the supplies needed for the class listed under the shop page or we can have a kit ready for you on the first day of class for $105. Make sure to email us in advance to let us know if you will need a kit.

Class limited to 12 students and will require a minimum of 6 to be conducted.
