Kids Art Camps

Join the Art Spot on Wheels for creative & fun art camps for Fall, Winter, Spring or Summer designed to inspire young minds with art projects, painting and fun! Campers will explore a variety of art mediums and styles and enjoy guided paintings.

Geared toward children ages 7-13,  we provide space and guidance for kids to freely create, learn different skills in various mediums and build self-confidence. Our camps generally sell out, so please book your child’s spot as soon as possible to secure it!

Please contact us about scholarships. We will be offering one scholarship spot each week of camp!

Summer Camp Week 1: Malleabilities (Clay/Dough/slime)

(June 20-24, 10am-2pm)
Become enthralled with all the fun and wonder of different materials used to replicate traditional clay and other malleabilities. From learning to create with store bought materials, down to making our own, this week is sure to be inspired and messy 😉

Summer Camp Week 2: Design– Dream House

(June 27-July 1, 10am-2pm)
This week we will each create our own DREAM HOUSE. Using large, wooden houses we will start from the ground up designing whatever our dreams can imagine, from rugs to chandeliers and everything in between!

Summer Camp Week 3: Pencil

(July 5-8, 10am-2pm)
Every creative has to start somewhere; and learning the basics of drawing is a foundational base to go anywhere. We’ll learn about line, form, value and walk away with a series of framed drawings.

Summer Camp Week 4: Sculpture

(July 11-15, 10am-2pm)
With so many ways to make 3 dimensional artwork, this week is sure to stand out. We’ll delve into the world of wire sculpture, head to paper mache, then over to carving as we discover a fun sampling of methods used to create sculptures.

Summer Camp Week 5: Print

(July 18-22, 10am-2pm)
Explore the world of prints and a few of the ways artists create transferable art from one surface onto another! Projects will range from cardboard prints thru to the traditional Japanese art of Gyotaku fish prints.

Summer Camp Week 6: Paper

(July 25-29, 10am-2pm)
Paper, such a simple product, can be used in so many different (and fun) ways. Let’s deconstruct this daily used material and turn the old into something new. Our last week of Summer camp we will be making our own paper, learning about and creating mixed media art pieces, creating paper pixelated mosaic fruits and making decoupage art.
